LEVEL 4 NVQ DIPLOMA IN SPECTATOR SAFETY MANAGEMENT

The YMCA Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Spectator Safety Management has been designed to assess the competence of stadium managers and safety officers. Throughout this qualification, you will be expected to show ability in planning for and ensuring the safety of people at an event. Furthermore, you will also need to demonstrate the ability to manage resources and develop and implement policies.

THE COURSE

The Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Spectator Safety Management provides learners with the knowledge and experience needed to work in sports grounds, music venues, festivals and any other event requiring spectator safety. During the course, you will learn a wealth of information that will take your skillset within the crowd safety industry to the next level.

This qualification consists of 16 units:-

  • Seven mandatory units
  • Nine optional units.

A total of 58 credits must be achieved via the completion of mandatory and optional units.

Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety (RQF)

COURSE UNITS

MANDATORY UNITS

As part of the work required to achieve the Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Spectator Safety Management, you must complete the following seven mandatory units:

  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Assist the organisation to develop and implement policies
  • Manage own resources and professional development
  • Provide information to support decision making
  • Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
  • Plan for the safety of people attending a spectator event
  • Ensure the safety of people attending a spectator event

Learners must achieve 50 credits from the mandatory units listed above.

Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Spectator Safety Management
OPTIONAL UNITS

The remaining eight credits must be achieved via completion of a number of the optional units listed below:

  • Manage the use of physical resources
  • Encourage innovation in own area of responsibility
  • Allocate and monitor the progress and quality of work in own area of responsibility
  • Facilitate meetings
  • Provide advice and support for the development and implementation of quality policies
  • Implement quality assurance systems
  • Monitor compliance with quality systems
  • Manage a project
  • Recruit, select and keep colleagues

The Total Qualification Time (TQT) for this qualification is estimated at around 580 hours. The Guided Learning Hours (GLH) assigned are 279.
